Eligibility Criteria

Salary and Benefits

The selected candidate will receive a fixed monthly salary of Rs. 30,000/- for the duration of the project. This is a contractual position and does not offer any additional benefits beyond the consolidated monthly emoluments.

Project Information

The selected candidate will work on an innovative project focused on food safety technology:

• Project Title: “Testing and validation of Spice Adulteration Test Kit and Carbide Detection Test Kit”
• Duration: The project is scheduled to end on May 17, 2025
• Objective: The project aims to develop and validate testing kits for detecting adulteration in spices and carbide presence in food products, which is crucial for ensuring food safety standards in India
• Work Location: The primary place of work will be ICAR-CIPHET, Ludhiana, Punjab. However, depending on project requirements, the candidate may need to travel to different locations across India
• Principal Investigator: Dr. Manju Bala, Scientist and Head (Acting), FG&OP Division ICAR-CIPHET

Terms and Conditions

Candidates should be aware of the following terms and conditions before applying:

1. The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The tenure of the advertised post will be for two months from the date of joining.
2. The post may be terminated by the PI without assigning any reasons at any stage.
3. There is no provision for absorption or re-employment in ICAR/ICAR-CIPHET after completion of tenure/project.
4. The primary place of work will be ICAR-CIPHET, Ludhiana. However, the candidate may have to visit anywhere in India depending upon the requirement of the project.
5. The tenure and service conditions of the position will be governed by project guidelines and ICAR guidelines.
6. Canvassing in any form will render the candidate disqualified for the post.
7. The selected candidate will be a full-time worker and is required to adhere to the administrative, financial, and disciplinary regulations of the ICAR-CIPHET.
8. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
9. The applicants must bring with them original documents along with one set of photocopies of the certificates/testimonials at the time of interview.
10. No objection certificate from the employer in case the candidate is employed elsewhere.
11. Experience certificate in original (if any).
12. Wherever age related relaxations are claimed on account of category & previous employment or any other as applicable under GOI norms, the certificates to be submitted along with documents.
13. No separate interview call will be issued to the candidates.
14. The decision of Director, ICAR-CIPHET, Ludhiana will be final and binding in all respects.
