Research Focus & Technological Scope
Modern environmental monitoring increasingly relies on integrating artificial intelligence, satellite imagery, and biophysical data to manage water resources and predict climate stress. Key research focus areas include:
- Applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) models to process satellite remote sensing data and monitor environmental water stress.
- Evaluating plant-soil-water dynamics, canopy temperature, and evapotranspiration under changing climate conditions.
- Developing predictive digital tools for climate-resilient water management and environmental monitoring.
Remuneration & Contract Package
- Salary: Gross monthly salary of €3,350 plus full Spanish social security and healthcare coverage.
- Duration: 2 Years full-time postdoctoral appointment.
- Location: EEAD-CSIC, Zaragoza, Spain.
- Deadline: Applications reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
Candidate Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Environmental Science, Remote Sensing, Computational Biology, Agronomy, or related quantitative disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience in Python/R programming, machine learning frameworks, or GIS/remote sensing data processing.
- Strong track record of peer-reviewed scientific publications and interest in interdisciplinary team science.
