UP, India offers 100 postdoctoral fellowships and applies for suitable and
interested people and awards one lakh allowance scholarship per month. 

Introduction

The Hindu University of Banaras, a leading Indian university, invites you to apply
for a series of postdoctoral fellowships. It is located at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh,
India. BHU was established by Madan Mohan Malaviya (Indian
independence activist and prominent lawyer) in
1916. With more than  35, 000 students living
on-campus, it is the major residential university in Asia.
BHU is structured into six institutes and 14 faculties
and about more than 140 divisions. It has programs for undergraduates,
postgraduates and doctoral
students like  Indian Institute of Technology
(IIT BHU), Institute of Science,
Institute of Agricultural
Sciences and Inter-disciplinary
schools like the School of Biotechnology, Life Science, Mathematical Sciences and
Food Technology etc.

Framework  in India, BHU will be always
under the top 10 institutes in India and under the top 5 among universities. 

Designation
/ position

Referred to as
“Malaviya postdoctoral fellowships”, this program offers up to 100
positions in all disciplines of science, social science, literature and other
professional disciplines.

Duration
of Fellowship

These scholarships
are granted for a period of 3 years which can be extended by an additional 2 years
according to the favorable assessment of the corresponding review committee.

Fellowship:

·        
1.00 lakh Rupees per
month (approximately $1500 per month)

·        
Candidate will be
entitled to an annual research grant of Rs. 3.00 lakh.

·        
Few campuses
accommodations are available at a nominal rent.

Eligibility/Qualification–

Ph.D. from the top 500
Institutions and a very good academic record throughout or
a postdoctoral experience of three years from the top 500 Institutions (THE or
Q-S ranking).
·         Candidates
have shown independent research competence
and have publications in high impact journals.

·        
Age limit: < 35 years of age.
