Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualification Postgraduate in Agriculture Sciences
Desirable Qualifications
  • M.F.Sc./ M.Sc. in Fisheries Science
  • CSIR/UGC/ICAR NET qualified
  • Experience in Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS)
  • Prior experience in water quality analysis, Fish and Plankton sampling
  • Good knowledge in taxonomy and biology of fishes
  • Excellent computer documentation and analytical skills
Age Limit 21-45 years (male and female) as on the date of interview
Travel Requirements Must be willing to travel frequently in high altitude areas of Uttarakhand, Himanchal Pradesh, Jammu Kashmir, Ladakh and North East India
Medical Fitness Candidate must be medically fit, motivated and dynamic

Detailed Job Description

The Young Professional-II position at ICAR-CICFR involves research and fieldwork in coldwater fisheries. The role requires a blend of technical knowledge in fisheries science and practical skills in fish farming and laboratory analysis.

Terms and Conditions

Interested candidates should be aware of the following terms and conditions:

  1. The position is purely on contract basis. There is no claim for absorption in any capacity after the termination of the project.
  2. Duration of the project may be increased/decreased, and persons deployed will be co-terminus automatically with the termination of the project.
  3. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
  4. Certificates of all passed examinations starting from matriculation, a latest passport size photograph affixed on the application, bio-data, and caste certificate should be produced at the time of interview.
  5. Original experience certificate, if any, must be presented during the interview.
  6. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature.
  7. The decision of the Director, ICAR-CICFR, Bhimtal will be final.
  8. The selected candidate must be willing to join immediately after selection.
