Research Focus & Aquatic Genetic Biobanking
Safeguarding genetic diversity across aquaculture species, finfish, and farm animal populations is essential for long-term biodiversity conservation and breeding resilience. Key research responsibilities include:
- Fish & Aquatic Cryoconservation: Developing innovative techniques for collecting, processing, and long-term ultra-low temperature biobanking of sperm, germ cells, and reproductive tissue from aquatic species and livestock.
- Reproductive Biotechnology & Genomics: Enhancing female germline preservation, reproductive efficiency, and genomic selection protocols.
- Interdisciplinary Research & Biobanking Management: Collaborating with national gene banks, international research consortia, and supervising Ph.D. researchers.

Candidate Requirements
- Ph.D. or doctoral research experience in Cryobiology, Reproductive Biology, Fish/Livestock Genetics, Genomics, or Animal Biotechnology.
