As a GIS and Remote Sensing Researcher, you will support multidisciplinary research focused on Greenland’s Arctic environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing satellite and drone imagery for environmental monitoring
- Processing spatial data using R, Python, SQL, QGIS, and ArcGIS Pro
- Supporting biological fieldwork across Greenland
- Collaborating on scientific reports, publications, and data visualizations
- Engaging with both internal researchers and external partners
🎓 Required Qualifications
Applicants should hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in one of the following disciplines:
- Biology
- Physical Geography
- Agricultural Sciences
- Environmental Sciences or a closely related natural science field
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience with GIS and remote sensing tools
- Programming proficiency in R, SQL, and Python
- Familiarity with QGIS and ArcGIS Pro
- Experience with biological fieldwork or environmental data analysis
- Knowledge of Greenlandic society and language is a plus, but not mandatory

- Collect, process, and interpret environmental and biological datasets
- Perform remote sensing analysis using drone and satellite data
- Participate in field research activities across Greenland
