PhD Admission Requirements

PhD Selection Process

The admission process includes:

1. Evaluation of qualifications and the research proposal (Max 40 points)
2. Online interview via Microsoft Teams (Max 60 points)

Minimum score required in interview: 40/60

PhD Scholarships and Benefits

A total of 12 scholarships are available, including:

• Standard university-funded scholarships
• Ministry of University and Research (MUR) scholarships
• Scholarships under PNRR: Mission 4 – Component 2 – Investment 3.3
• Co-funded SCALARE Project scholarships (sustainable agriculture and food systems)

Each scholarship covers:

• A 3-year grant (approx. €16,200/year) – subject to applicable taxes
• Extra funding for research activities in Italy or abroad
• Full tuition waiver (except annual registration fee)

• Application fee: €25.00 (non-refundable) via PagoPA system
• Annual enrollment fee: €116.00 (includes regional tax and stamp duty)
